Your level, your school, your hours of class, your previous pointe shoes and what bothered you about them.

We look at your foot
The shape of your toes, your instep, your width and your strength. That gives us the first proposal.

You try them on, with no rush
You go up on relevé at the barre and we compare boxes, vamps and shanks until we find the pair.

Ready to dance
If you need it, we can guide you on where the ribbons and elastics go, and how to look after your shoes so they last.

Before you come
What to bring
You don't need to bring anything. But it really helps us to know:
- Whether your teacher lets you wear toe pads. It changes the size.
- Their advice, if it is your first pair.
- Which pointe shoes you wear now, if you are changing model.
If they can, come with your teacher: we advise you throughout, but someone who has already worked with you knows your feet and your technique, and their opinion helps you choose better. And children are best accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Before you book
Do I need an appointment for the fitting?
Yes. The pointe shoe fitting at Mi Favorita is always by appointment, and on Saturdays, our busiest day, it is best to book ahead. To buy anything else you can come in without an appointment.
How long does the fitting take?
About 20 minutes per person. If several of you are coming, we book 20 minutes for each person.
Does it cost anything?
No. The pointe shoe fitting at Mi Favorita is free, by appointment, and takes about 20 minutes per person.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. It helps to know whether your teacher lets you wear toe pads, because that changes the size, and their advice if it is your first pair.
Do you sew the ribbons on?
We don't sew them on, but if you have any questions we can guide you.
Do children have to come with an adult?
It is not compulsory, but we recommend it: children are best accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I come with my teacher?
Yes, and it is a good idea. We advise you throughout the fitting, but someone who has already worked with you knows your feet, your technique and what you need, and their opinion helps you choose better. If they can’t come, bring their advice.
What if I can't make my appointment?
Let us know 24 hours in advance, on WhatsApp or by phone.
If I already know my model and size, can I order online?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the brand, model, size, width and strength (you'll find them on the sole or the box) and we'll ship them or keep them for you in the shop. If you are changing model, it is better to come and try them on.
What if I can't come to the shop?
For a first pair or a change of model it is best to try them on here, because every last is different. If you can't come, message us: with your current pointe shoes and what you tell us about your foot, we'll advise you on WhatsApp.
At what age do dancers start pointe work?
It depends on technique and strength more than age. Your teacher decides; we help you choose the pair.
